Red Wings Select Albert Johansson 60th Overall

With their fourth pick in the draft, the Red Wings have selected Swedish defenseman Albert Johansson from Farjestad BK J20 of the SuperElit. Johansson registered 29 points in 40 SuperElit games and played in 3 SHL games in the 2018-19 season.

Sam Stern,  a scout for Dobber Prospects describes Johansson as a “Really talented skater, does a great job of entering and exiting zones with control of the puck. Played really well in the SHL last year. One of the best on the breakout in the class.”

Christoffer Hedlund, a scout for FC Hockey describes Johansson as a, “Two-way defenseman with good puck moving abilities. Smooth skating player with above-average playmaking skills and a good first pass from his own zone, also a strong passer in the offensive zone. Plays a smart defensive game, reads the game well.”
