Some people tend to forget about the scoring prowess of Teemu Pulkkinen and what he was able to do for the Grand Rapids Griffins and team Finland in the World Juniors. He may have reminded some people today, that at times, his skillset can be deadly.
While it was only a pre tournament game, we were able to get a pretty heavy dose of Pulkkinen and what he can do on international ice. He put up two goals in what ended up being an overtime win for team Finland.
Here is Pulkkinen’s first goal against team USA:
Absolute snipe. Even though this goal was on Keith Kinkaid, it was still a damn impressive goal.
Here is his second goal of the contest.

The degree of difficulty wasn’t particularly high, nonetheless it is nice to see him converting chances.
Dylan Larkin had three shots on the evening and didn’t really threaten too much. Nothing to be concerned about just yet as the tournament has yet to start. Pulkkinen is an RFA this offseason and will need to be qualified this summer for the Wings to retain his services.
If he continues this pace of play, they will have an easy decision.
