Frk, yeah.
It looks like after a strong training camp and before that a strong Calder Cup playoff, forward Martin Frk will make the Detroit Red Wings opening night roster.
Frk was a 2012 draft pick of the Red Wings and has taken a while to develop but it looks like he will be adjusting to the NHL lifestyle.
With the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2016-17, Frk played in 65 games and scored 27 goals with 23 assists for a total of 50 points. In the Calder Cup playoffs, Frk played in 16 games putting up 15 points during that time.
If Frk is going to be making the team, it will be interesting to see who gets displaced here or who will not be making the team because of it. By all accounts, Frk has earned it and should provide a spark to the Red Wings bottom-six.
