Red Wings Select Moritz Seider 6th Overall At 2019 NHL Entry Draft

For a rebuilding team, draft day is always an important day in franchise history. After another lottery division season, the Detroit Red Wings landed with the 6th overall pick in this year’s NHL Entry Draft. As one of his first moves as General Manager of the Detroit Red Wings, Steve Yzerman selected Moritz Seider at 6th overall.
Seider is a German player from the DEL. The pick was certainly a surprise, based on who else was left on the table. We’ll have more details in the coming days, but for the time being, check out Cameron Kuom’s draft profile on him for an immediate fix:
