Red Wings Select Cole Fraser With Their 131st Overall Pick

The Detroit Red Wings selected Cole Fraser with their 5th round pick at the NHL Entry Draft.

The Wings continued to stock up their defensive pipeline with this 6’2″ right-handed defenseman. He was ranked #197 by NHL Central Scouting for North American skaters, according to EliteProspects. Fraser just completed his second season in the OHL for the Peterbrough Petes. After a rookie outing that saw him 3 points in 50 games, Fraser showed great improvement in his sophomore season, putting up 19 points in 61 games.
