The Red Wings have been running a rotational basis this year when on any given night, one of like five forwards decides to have a good game while the rest of the team fires about four shots on goal.

The Rundown

So the Wings continued their nightly tradition of giving up the first goal within the game’s first 10 minutes.
AA then hit up the scoreboard twice within three minutes to put the Wings up 2-1.
BOOM.
But what was a lead was only a brief one, and the only time the Wings would be in front on the entire night.
Brett Connolly tied things up just 2:07 later… and then TJ Oshie popped in the only goal of the second to give Washington a 3-2 lead.
Henrik Zetterberg popped in things wi
Three straight goals however put the game out of Reach for the Capitals. 6-3 final.
Things got out of hand real fast.
Truth be told, this wasn’t exactly the Wings’ hottest game. Shooting just 17 shots on net, the Wings were lucky to be in the game as late as they were.

Motor City MVP

Andreas Athanasiou. Double A with the double goals.
