Mitch Callahan called up to Red Wings

If you were wondering how the Wings would fill the hole created with the absence of Steve Ott, wait no longer. 

Mitch Callahan today was called up by the Red Wings, looking to get in an NHL game for the first time in nearly three years.

Callahan obviously won’t break the team offensively, notching 36 points in 53 games for the Griffins this year, but he adds some much-needed depth to the team’s bottom six.
