Brendan Smith returning this weekend, Howard starting in Grand Rapids this weekend

Good news came earlier today in terms of the injury front for a pair of Red Wings.

Boom. Additionally, it sounds like Jimmy Howard’s ready to return to professional hockey action this weekend… though not quite for the Red Wings. 

With Smith’s name on the trading block, it could be one of the last few games he plays for the Red Wings. It’s good to hear Howard is close to returning, as he’s currently still the league leader in save percentage.
