A CALL FOR WRITERS!

These Red Wings, man. There’s so much going on with them, we can’t keep up! That’s why we’re looking for new contributors to join our growing team of talented writers.
Do you watch every game, pulling your hair out at the lack of ice time for Andreas Athanasiou? Are you confused about the goalie situation? Do you think you know what the ideal roster moves are? Are you brought close to tears every time Marty Frk scores on the powerplay? Take that anger, confusion, knowledge, and passion to WingsNation.com where your work could be read by thousands of fellow Wings fans!
I’m looking for help in all areas, including post-game reports, breaking news, and opinion/analysis pieces. If writing is not your forte, but you love to make funny images, memes, or videos, then come aboard! We like all kinds of multimedia, not just the written word.

Though our contributors aren’t currently compensated at the entry-level, this is a great opportunity for aspiring students in sports journalism to perfect their craft by working with our editors and grow their following through the use of our social media platforms. You’d also get access to our private Slack channel where you can brainstorm ideas and discuss the happenings in the hockey world with our existing team of writers.
Don’t have any sports journalism aspirations? That’s okay, too! We want your thoughts and rants as they pertain to the Detroit Red Wings and the greater hockey world! A lot of us do this as a hobby, mostly to save our friends and family from having to hear us ramble on about why Hicketts deserves to be called up but Hronek is playing really well right now and we really need Saarijarvi to be getting more ice time!
Anyways…
Many Nation Network alumni currently hold jobs with NHL teams or in the mainstream media. Who knows? This could be your beginning! If you’re interested in contributing for us, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter (@nickseguin19) or at seguinn08@gmail.com with a sample of your writing. I’ll be sure to respond promptly.
As always, thanks for reading and I look forward to contributing with you!
