No, not that Ryan O’Reilly. With their 93rd overall pick, the Red Wings selected Texas-native centerman Ryan O’Reilly.

Originally committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha, he de-committed when the original coaching staff eventually left the organization. He is now committed to the University of Denver next season.

With the Madison Capitols of the USHL last season, O’Reilly had 21 goals and 34 points in 45 games. A skillful center that will surely flourish throughout his NCAA (and hopefully professional) career.
