In the early morning of Day 2, the Red Wings had the privilege of selecting early in the second round. With the second pick of the day they selected Jonatan Berggren from Skellefteå AIK of the SuperElit.
An extremely skilled and high energy winger, Berggren is the perfect fit for the new Red Wings draft philosophy. A very “home-run” pick.
