The Red Wings are coming off an over time loss to the Flyers on Tuesday and today is the last day before the all star break.
The Blackhawks played last night against Toronto, and with the help of a controversial goal, they managed to get to OT before losing to the Leafs. Here is a video of what should have been called goalie interference;

I’m happy to see Larkin, AA, Bertuzzi, and Mantha rounding out the top 6, but it comes at the cost of having Frk on the 4th line. Additionally, Turgeon has been recalled, but again, is stuck with 4th-line duties.
Recent news out of Red Wings’ land has Ouellet on the trading block. Hopefully Blashill does a better job showing off this asset – especially against the Blackhawks who are always in the market for affordable defence men.

Although the Wings shut out the Hawks on the 14th of January, Patrick Kane is averaging just under 4 shots per game so we have to be ready for him at any time. Further to this, Duclair has been given top-line minutes and power play time. He is motivated and wants to prove that he is a 20-goal scorer.

BETWEEN THE PIPES

Jimmy Howard gets the nod for the Red Wings tonight.
Anton Forsberg is expected to be between the pipes for Chicago. This should be an obvious decision since Jeff Glass played last night against the Leafs.
