Game Day!! Sabres @ Wings!

After losing a hard-fought battle to the Preds on Tuesday, we take on the Sabres today at Little Caesars Arena. With Mrazek starting tonight for Philly, Howard is confirmed to start for us.
Things in Buffalo have been painful and the frustration level for players and fans can’t get much higher. They’d love to get Dahlin (but who wouldn’t?). However, Eichel, the out-spoken and injured all star, needs the team to start winning – hopefully tonight in Detroit.
The Wings are sitting with 57 points, 4 more than the next-lowest Canucks at 53, and 1 less than the Panthers who are above them in the standings. I can’t explain the importance of losing this game. The Panthers are hosting the Capitals and the Rangers are in Montreal. Washington and NY are the favourites of their respective games tonight.
Green  is out tonight and Oullet is expected to play.

Between The Pipes

As I alluded to earlier, Howard is starting for the Wings tonight. Although this would be a good opportunity to give Coreau a game.
Lehner, who was injured earlier this week, will be starting for Buffalo. Robin Lehner is 11-20 and is sporting a .913 save percentage – thanks to the lack of defence.
I hope this turns into a bit of a goalie battle and Lehner can keep pucks out of the net.

Where To Watch

Fox Sports Detroit, as always, will air tonight’s game and we will also have you covered for highlights and updates on Twitter throughout the game!
