Larsson registered a 2.14 GAA and .925 SV% in 12 conference games for the Denver Pioneers along with one shutout and was a 2-time NCHC Goaltender of the Week and the December Goaltender of the Month. Larsson has finished the regular season with a 2.29 GAA and .919 SV% in 16 games.
According to the Denver Pioneers press release, Larsson’s 2.29 GAA was 3rd among NCAA freshmen goalies and his .919 SV% ranked 4th.
Larsson is building quite the resume for himself early on. He was named USHL Goaltender of the Year last season after dominating with the Tri-City Storm. There were questions as to how he’d adjust to the college game, especially so after he started the season out recovering from injury, but he quickly silenced any doubters and this award is a great end to the season he had.
