Jeremy Davis
It’s three days until the NHL’s trade deadline, the Detroit-Colorado Stadium Series game is tomorrow night, and the Alumni game is just hours away. In short, no one is paying attention to prospects right now.
Well, no one but me at least.
Have a quick read through to see how your favorite prospects have performed over the last seven days before heading back to the deadline frenzy.

  • Anthony Mantha has continued his run of strong play and was rewarded again last week, scoring twice and adding an assist in three games played. He has five goals in his last four games and continues to lead Detroit’s AHL prospects in points.
  • Martin Frk had points in each of last week’s games, tallying two goals and adding two assists. He continues to lead all Griffins in goals, with a four-goal lead on Mantha and Eric Tangradi.
  • Mitch Callahan added three goals to his season total since the last Assembly Line update, giving him a solid 15 on the year. A two-goal performance in Saturday’s game ended a five-game point drought. He also had four shots on net in each game.
  • Robbie Russo had two assists last week, bringing his total to an AHL prospect leading 20. It’s now been 29 games since his last goal however, having put 45 shots on net in that period of time.
  • Tyler Bertuzzi kicked it up a notch last week, scoring in all three games. He now has five goals in his last seven games, which brings his total to an underwhelming eight on the year. Perhaps we’re starting to see the Tyler Bertuzzi that looked dominant in last year’s AHL playoffs.
  • Tomas Nosek and Ryan Sproul each picked up two assists last week playing in all three games.
  • Louis-Marc Aubry and Colin Campbell each had one assist in three games last week.
  • Nick Jensen didn’t pick up any points last week, though he was a plus-1 and fired six shots on net.
  • Andreas Athanasiou has been up with the Red Wings since February 5th.
  • Zach Nastasiuk has been down in the ECHL with the Toledo Walleye since January 22nd, and has 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 18 games down there.
