Red Wings sign Christoffer Ehn to ELC
Yesterday, it was announced that the Red Wings have signed Swedish forward Christoffer Ehn to a three-year entry level contract.
Ehn was the Wings’ fourth-round pick in the 2014 draft and is currently playing with the Grand Rapids Griffins in the American Hockey League as they continue their playoff push against the Milwaukee Admirals. Before joining the Griffins, Ehn had been playing for Frölunda HC and wrapped up his season with four goals, and nine assists in 52 SHL games.
The Linkoping, Sweden, native represented his country at both the 2015 and 2016 World Junior Championships. Ehn also played for Sweden at the 2014 World Under-18 Championships.
SCOUTING REPORT
Ehn thinks the game well and is very sound defensively. He has a big frame that will take time to fill out. He is a two-way centerman, though the offensive side of his game is still very much a work in progress. Ehn skates well for a player his size.
