Red Wings Select Joseph Veleno Thirtieth Overall

Still can’t believe Filip Zadina is a Detroit Red Wings? Well hey, get pumped for the 30th overall selection, Joseph Veleno. Veleno is a Canadian-born center from the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL.

Veleno was granted exceptional status into the QMJHL when he was 15 years old. That list also includes Connor McDavid, John Tavares and Aaron Ekblad. He gives Detroit a great value pick, as they address there need at center to close out day one of the 2018 Draft. See you all tomorrow!
