It’s development camp time, and all of the Red Wings prospects (plus a few invitees) are all showcasing their skills. Let’s take a look at all the cool stuff going on:
First, the Wings themselves give us some highlights from yesterday’s scrimmage:
Don’t have time for the whole thing? Well, here&#8217;s the cream of the crop, that being Tyler Bertuzzi&#8217;s unique goal:<br><center><br> <iframe loading="lazy" src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FBradGalliTV%2Fvideos%2F295543747464092%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=560" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe><center><br></center><br> </center>Coach Jeff Blashill offers his thoughts on the Wings free agent signings: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"> <p dir="ltr" lang="en">Jeff Blashill calls Darren Helm signing as big as any Red Wings made in free agency: <a href="https://t.co/WOd8N45VvE">https://t.co/WOd8N45VvE</a></p> <p>— Brendan Savage (@BrendanSavage) <a href="https://twitter.com/BrendanSavage/status/751575381933690880">July 9, 2016</a> </p></blockquote> <p><script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" async="" charset="utf-8">

Wings first round pick Dennis Cholowski talked about what he brings:
“Speed is one of my biggest assets, and I try to use it whenever I can to set up some offense,” he said.
“I want to be a little more physical and kind of battling a little harder, using my stick less and getting my body in there,”

Second rounder Givani Smith continues the trend of being critical of their physical play, and also weighs in on the 4v4 session:
“Maybe I could have been a lot more physical toward the second period,” he said. “It never hurts to be more physical, always.”
“It’s a lot faster, and guys know where to be,” he said. “We only played
4-on-4, so it’s a lot of guys using their speed out there, so it’s a
littler different than the OHL.”

Also, Griffins coach Todd Nelson talked about Sadowy’s hat trick performance:
“He had a good night,” Nelson said. “Besides the goals, too, I liked
that he played hard. He’s quicker than I thought he’d be. He’s got good
speed and was a good finisher on the net.
“It’s only July, but like I said, he had a good night.”
