The Detroit Red Wings have placed forwards @Robby Fabbri and @Michael Rasmussen in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol, the club announced Wednesday afternoon.
Fabbri and Rasmussen will be unable to play for at least 10 days. The NHL’s full 2021–22 COVID-19 protocols can be found here.
Neither Fabbri nor Rasmussen will be in the lineup when Detroit returns to action in Carolina on Dec. 16. At the earliest, they’ll be able to return against the New York Rangers on Dec. 27.
Fabbri, 25, has eight goals and 14 points in 29 contests this year. He became a Red Wing in November 2019 when his original team, the St. Louis Blues, traded him to Detroit in exchange for @Jacob de la Rose.
Rasmussen, 22, has three goals and 10 points in 29 games with the Red Wings this season. The Red Wings originally selected Rasmussen with the ninth overall pick at the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
