The Detroit Red Wings will have to wait a little longer to return to action, the National Hockey League announced Tuesday afternoon.
Due to COVID-19 issues affecting both the Red Wings and New York Islanders, Wednesday’s game between the two teams has been postponed.
Additionally, the Red Wings announced that forward @Filip Zadina and goaltender @Alex Nedeljkovic have exited COVID-19 protocol.
Both Zadina and Nedeljkovic originally entered protocol on Dec. 18.
With Zadina and Nedeljkovic reactivated and back on the ice, the Red Wings now have the following players on COVID-19 protocol:
  • @Joe Veleno (added 12/19)
  • @Sam Gagner (12/19)
  • @Adam Erne (12/21)
  • @Jordan Oesterle (12/21)
  • @Lucas Raymond (12/26)
  • @Nick Leddy (12/26)
Detroit’s next scheduled game is on Dec. 31 against the Washington Capitals.
