The Red Wings announced today the re-signing of Joe Hicketts for 2 more years.
His salary will be $700K, $90K in the minors, with $110K guaranteed in the first year. Year two earns him $700K as well, but an upgrade with $115K for the minors, and $137.5K guaranteed.
The 23 year old lefty has played in 11 NHL games, accumulating 3 assists, 18 shots, and 39 blocked shots with an average ice time of 18:12. With the Griffins last season, he produced 27 points in 64 games.
