The Red Wings turned right back to Howard the following night, and he was once again sharp against the Florida Panthers, making 34 saves on 37 shots to keep his team in the game. But Detroit lost that one 4-1, being held to two goals or less for the ninth time in its last 10 games. This lack of offensive production won’t cut it regardless of who is in goal.
