The Detroit Red Wings had quite the dynasty in the late 90s and early 2000s.
The club won three of six Stanley Cups between 1997 and 2002 led by the likes of Brendan Shanahan, Steve Yzerman, Nicklas Lindstrom and Sergei Federov.
And now, all those cup wins are available to watch all over again.
The NHL has opened up its archives offering the ability to watch some films documenting the three wins. I was still quite young when these wins all happened, and honestly, I wasn’t really a fan of hockey at the time.
Nonetheless, I’m super excited to be able to see these games. The Red Wings were such a great team stacked with Hockey Hall of Famers.
I know I’m going to be carving out some time in the coming days to throw these on.
If you’re interested in watching, you can check out the films here.
