Jimmy Howard Placed on IR
This morning, the Red Wings have announced that Jimmy Howard has been placed on the injured reserve with a lower-body injury.
Last night, Howard was helped off the ice after being crashed into by teammate Nick Jensen and the Lightning’s Erik Condra crashed into him early in the second period. Howard appeared to be heavily favouring his right leg as he was helped off the ice.
While Jimmy Howard hasn’t received much in terms of offensive support, he is still posting solid stats regardless of his 5-7-0 record. At the time of this posting, there has been no set timetable for his return.
