Yet another member of the Detroit Red Wings has entered the National Hockey League’s COVID-19 protocol.
Less than an hour before Saturday’s game against the New Jersey Devils, the Red Wings announced @Filip Zadina had been placed in COVID-19 protocol and would not be eligible to play.
Zadina joins fellow players @Robby Fabbri, @Michael Rasmussen, @Carter Rowney, @Givani Smith, and @Alex Nedeljkovic, as well as coaches Jeff Blashill and Alex Tanguay, in the Red Wings’ contingent of personnel currently in COVID-19 protocol.
Recently recalled Grand Rapids Griffins forwards @Taro Hirose and @Kyle Criscuolo will both draw into the lineup for Detroit in Saturday’s game. The Red Wings will run with 11 forwards and seven defensemen in the contest.
Zadina, who turned 22 last month, has four goals and 10 points in 30 games with the Red Wings this season.
