The Detroit Red Wings have signed Robby Fabbri to a two-year contract extension, the club announced Monday.
According to The Athletic’s Craig Custance, the deal will see Fabbri paid $2.95-million AAV. Set to have been a restricted free agent, the Red Wings have taken care of some business early into the offseason.
The Red Wings acquired Fabbri, 24, in November 2019 in exchange for Jacob de la Rose.
Fabrri had been buried in the Blues lineup earlier this year playing 9:42 a night in nine games. He flourished in a much bigger role with the Red Wings scoring 14 goals and 31 points in 52 games playing 17:16 a night.
