Today was the first episode of “2 Guys and a Goalie,” starring Dustin Nielson, Joaquin Gage, and Matt Kassian and presented by Odds Shark, Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken, and Sports Clips Haircuts, went live. The show focuses on stories, notes, transactions, and everything else happening all around the NHL and the world of hockey.
As far as the Wings are concerned, they discussed the Leafs salary cap situation after the @Mitch Marner signing, and if that’ll hurt them in the Eastern Conference standings in the long term with lack of defensive depth.
Some other things that were discussed:
- The the rest of the unsigned RFAs and who will hold out the longest.
- The recent group of RFA defensemen who have signed.
- The @Evgeny Kuznetzov suspension.
- Who the NHLPA prioritizes with contract negotiations.
