Welcome to “2 Guys and a Goalie,” starring Dustin Nielson, Joaquin Gage, and Matt Kassian and presented by Odds Shark, Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken, and Sports Clips Haircuts. The show focuses on stories, notes, transactions, and everything else happening all around the NHL and the world of hockey.
There is no goalie this week, as Gager’s away but Shawn Belle’s back to fill the net.
The boys chat about the fast starts by @Dylan Larkin and @Anthony Mantha and what can be expected for their seasons with @Detroit Red Wings this year.
They chat about the injury to @Evgeny Malkin and how it’ll effect the @Pittsburgh Penguins and the rest of their season. They also touch on @Sidney Crosby dropping the gloves with @Pierre-Luc Dubois, and whether fighting is something that a superstar should be doing in today’s game.
Belle and Kass share their thoughts as players on the @Columbus Blue Jackets’ home-opening video that seemed to take shots at some of their players who left during the offseason.
They talk about the individual hot starts around the league by @Mika Zibanejad, @Auston Matthews, and @Connor McDavid and who’s been the most impressive, and what hot starts can mean for the individual player and their teams.
