In one of the ugliest games you’ll ever watch, the Wings snapped their six-game winning streak, falling 1-0 to the Boston Bruins.

The game story really starts and ends with the fact that The Wings shot the puck on net 24 times and were stopped 24 times by Tuukka Rask.

Let’s check in with the Wings’ fourth line!

Scoring the lone goal of the game was none other than Tim Schaller, squeaking the ball by Jimmy Howard with just under three minute remaining in the second period. The goal was initially reviewed for a potential offside, but allowed to stand. It was just the fourth goal Schaller’s ever scored in the NHL.

Other than the goal, the game was pretty bland. Patrice Bergeron had six shots on net and was overly dominant as usual, while just about everybody on the Wings wasn’t. It’s really hard to try to pull out any positives from this one, with either team really producing much offence throughout the course of the game. The Wings had a shot with a late 6-on-4 powerplay, but, well, obviously didn’t convert.

Jimmy Howard pulled out all the stops tonight. He also looks like he’s going to cry in his postgame interview.

The streak had to come to an end at some point. The Wings play again tomorrow night at 5:00 p.m. against the Florida Panthers.
