Unless you hate yourself, I can’t think of any good reason why you’d want to watch Wings-Avs in 2017. But if you did anyway, you’d see yourself treated to a pretty fun hockey game between the two old rivals, with the Red Wings coming out on top by a 5-1 score.

Nothing substantial really happened through nearly half of this game. The Wings managed just 12 shots through 40, and the two teams combined had just 11 in the second period.

Nevertheless, the Wings headed into the the third up 1-nil via two rarities: a Justin Abdelkader power play goal. Madness!

Nathan MacKinnon drew the Coloradoes level via a slick deflection from a Tyson Barrie shot, but it would be their last gasp.
