A Recap of the Media’s Tour of Little Caesars Arena

Today, some members of the Detroit media were invited for a tour of the still-in-progress Little Caesars Arena. The result was a wide variety of tweets with photos of the inside and outside of the Red Wings new home. The complex is obviously still under construction, but it’s really starting to come together and look like what it’s supposed to be. Here is a roundup of some of the tweets and images from the media visit.

A great view from behind the net at the box level. The speakers are being installed and the scoreboard is being built. Apparently, it will be the largest scoreboard in the NHL with each side measuring 44 feet long.

This view is more from the corner. It really gives a good idea of how many seats this place is going to have. Feels massive compared to Joe Louis.
There's the overhanging gondola-like press box! (Checking on weight limit)
Here’s what the gondola is going to look like. Basically hanging from the rafters, the gondola is going to serve as the press box as well as additional seating for fans who want to be right on top of the action. Don’t expect tickets to be cheap for this view.

Of course, Mojo In The Morning comes through with a video that captures the interior of the arena and the via. I love how open it is with windows on the ceiling and along the walls. Once they light it all up, it’s going to look so good.
Home sweet home (soon).
The Wings’ new home is going to be massive. I can’t wait to get in there. When do opening night tickets go on sale?!
