After his longest stint with an NHL team, Wade Megan is headed back to the AHL and will report to the Griffins in the next few days.
Megan, 28, was cemented in the Wings’ bottom-six forward group during this recent success they have found as a team. Although he has only averaged about eight minutes a game, Megan was still seen as a net-positive player overall when it comes to shot attempts and possession.
He was unable to get any points, but since the Wings have been mainly scoring on the powerplay and he was limited in minutes, it is not really expected of him to put up the numbers.
Megan will be back with the Grand Rapids Griffins, where he has played a total of eight games this season and amassed two goals and four points in total.
