After a sudden injury to blueline mainstay Danny DeKeyser, the Wings called upon the Griffins to call up 28-year-old defenceman Brian Lashoff for the upcoming game tonight against the Leafs.

This might not be the permanent replacement for DeKeyser, but Lashoff will lace up for tonight’s game no matter what.
Lashoff has played 17 games for the Griffins so far this season and has totaled three assists and nineteen penalty minutes during that time. Most recently he played last night against the San Antonio Rampage, in a pairing with Dylan McIlrath.
He has only played a total of seventeen games for the Wings in the last three seasons, but he makes at least one appearance each season.
Lashoff has faced the Toronto Maple Leafs six times in his career, even notching one assist against this team.
