Is it October Yet?!
Well, hockey season isn’t exactly around the corner, hell we haven’t even made it to unrestricted free agency. The wait will have to last, but we now know the dates to mark on our calendars. Tuesday afternoon the Red Wings official schedule for the 2019-20 season was released.
To see the full lay out for the regular season click here. For more on the preseason schedule, which was released last week, click here.
To highlight some of the more notable games the Wings are slated for in their 94th season in the NHL:
- Regular season opener: October 5th @ Nashville
- Regular season home opener: October 6th vs Dallas
- Final regular season game: April 4th vs Tampa Bay
Also worth noting are the west coast road trips that take place throughout the season. These typically aren’t fun to see as they approach. They head out west on October 15-18, November 12-16, and March 20-21. There is also of course the usual 41 game split of home and away games. Two games of which will be matinée games on February 9th and February 16th against Boston and Pittsburgh, respectively.
Enjoy your Summer, folks. Hockey season will be here before you know it!
