Aiming to snap a three-game losing streak, the Detroit Red Wings could see one of their most important skaters, captain @Dylan Larkin, return to action Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets.

Following the club’s morning skate at Little Caesars Arena, which Larkin attended, coach Jeff Blashill admitted his captain could make his return to the lineup during the start of this two-game homestand. But for now, the 6’1″ forward is considered a game-time decision.

Larkin, 25, suffered an upper-body injury in Anaheim against the Ducks on Jan. 9, which caused him to miss Tuesday’s contest against the San Jose Sharks.

If the Red Wings’ captain does indeed play, it’s assumed he’ll return to the club’s top line alongside teammates @Tyler Bertuzzi and @Lucas Raymond.

Through 32 games this season, Larkin has logged 18:31 minutes of ice-time per night, posting 16 goals and 32 points. Additionally, he’s also registered 90 shots on goal, 22 hits, 14 blocks, 14 takeaways and a 54.4 percent face-off percentage.

Detroit and Winnipeg will meet for the first time since 2019-20 on Thursday, with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 pm ET.
