The National Hockey League has announced the postponement of the scouting combine, awards show, and the NHL draft.
The league said in a statement that due the delays are due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak.
The scouting combine was set to take place between June 1st-6th, while the awards show was set for June 18th. The big kicker for fans of the Detroit Red Wings is the delay of the NHL draft, set for June 26-27th in Montreal.
Its timing, location, and format of the draft — along with its lottery — is apart of ongoing discussions by the league as to what the next steps.
In respect of the NHL awards, the league says they “forward to returning to Las Vegas in the future. Las Vegas has been the home of the Bridgestone NHL Awards since 2009.”
