With social distancing rules in effect for much of the world, hockey fans are craving any sort of sports content they can get.
Luckily, NHL.com has been doing a great job releasing Zoom sessions with players and reliving the top moments of the 2019-20 season.
On Saturday, the NHL gave Detroit Red Wings fans a wonderful treat.
The documentary chronicles the history of Joe Louis Arena, including the construction of the arena and the “Dead Wings” era. It includes interviews with former and current players, as well as old interviews with Gordie Howe and Mike Illitch. It brought up a lot of wonderful memories I had as a child when the Red Wings were a premier team in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
It’s definitely worth an hour of your time since you can’t leave the house anyway.
