Detroit Red Wings goaltender @Alex Nedeljkovic helped preserve his team’s 3–2 lead over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday with a diving glove save late in the third period.
The Blues controlled the puck in the Detroit end with just over 13 minutes remaining in regulation time. St. Louis defenseman @Niko Mikkola first attempted a shot that Nedeljkovic was able to kick out to his left.
The rebound found its way onto the stick of @Marco Scandella, who immediately snapped a shot back toward Nedeljkovic’s wide-open net. Detroit’s 25-year-old goaltender acrobatically dove across his crease and somehow managed to bat the puck away with his glove.

@Dylan Larkin, @Lucas Raymond, @Adam Erne, and @Robby Fabbri scored for the Red Wings in the win; @Pavel Buchnevich and @David Perron countered for St. Louis. Detroit improved to 9–9–3 on the season and snapped a four-game losing streak.
