Detroit Red Wings defenseman @Moritz Seider participated in team practice on Friday for wear after making an early exit from Thursday’s 5-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Late in the third period in Vegas, Seider blocked a shot by @Paul Cotter with his left knee and subsequently crumpled to the ice. The 20-year-old defender barely made it off the ice under his own power.
Wings coach Jeff Blashill was unable to provide an update on Seider’s status after the game. Here’s a video of Seider participating in Wings practice on Friday, as posted by the team’s official Twitter account:
Seider has two goals and 13 points in 19 games with the Red Wings this season. Only Detroit teammate @Lucas Raymond has more points among NHL rookies in 2021–22.
It remains to be seen whether Seider will be in the lineup when Detroit takes on the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday evening.
