The AHL’s leading goal scorer and the Grand Rapids Griffins’ top point producer is going to the AHL All-Star Classic.

On Thursday, Chris Terry was selected to play for the Central Division All-Star team, the only Griffin to be named.

This will be Terry’s third consecutive AHL All-Star bid and fourth overall (2012). This season, his first with the Griffins, he has 21 goals and ranks third in the league with 38 points in 35 games. He has 12 more points than the Griffins’ second-highest point producer, Matt Puempel.

Terry was drafted in the fifth round, 132nd overall, by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2007 NHL draft. The 29-year-old has played in 152 career NHL games over parts of five seasons (2012-17) between Carolina and the Montreal Canadiens and recorded 38 points (22 goals, 16 assists).
