The Detroit Red Wings have traded the rights to forward Dmytro Timashov to the New York Islanders in exchange for future considerations.
Timashov, 24, was claimed on waivers by Detroit from Toronto on Feb. 24, 2020 and only appeared in five games scoring no points.
He was nothing more than a bottom-six player in his time and received a qualifying offer, but has yet to sign an NHL deal for next season.
Drafted in the 5th round of the 2015 draft, he has appeared in 44 games scoring nine points.
As is the case in many futures deals, there will likely be nothing coming back to Detroit.
