Detroit Red Wings sign Taro Hirose, Adam Erne to one year extension

The Detroit Red Wings have signed Taro Hirose and Adam Erne to one-year contract extensions.
Hirose, 24, signed with the Red Wings as a free agent in March 2019 and has appeared in 36 games with the club last year scoring three goals and 14 points.
Last year, he spent time with the Grand Rapid Griffins where he scored five goals and 27 points in 35 games. He will make $825,000 in the NHL and $160,000 in the minors.
Erne, 25, was acquired by the Red Wings in Aug. 2019 from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2020 draft. He appeared in 56 NHL games last year scoring two goals and five points.
