Conditions for 3rd Round Pick Met in the Mrazek Trade

Draft day can’t come soon enough, as the Red Wings now own seven picks in the first three rounds, thanks to the first set of conditions being met in the Petr Mrazek trade. The Red Wings originally received a 2018 4th round pick, but will now upgrade that pick to a 2018 3rd round pick, with Mrazek reaching five wins as a Flyer and Philadelphia making the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
This pick can still become a 2018 2nd if the Flyers make the conference finals and Mrazek wins six playoff games, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Brian Elliot has returned from injury and Michal Neuvirth is on his way back as well. But who knows, crazier things have happened before.
So basically, Detroit is moving up thirty-one slots in this upcoming draft. That will certainly help with the potential of trade ups or even downs, as some clubs may be eyeing a certain player that falls to that pick. Nothing but good news here. Here is too hoping Philly goes on a deep playoff run on the shoulders of Mrazek!
