Entering the 2015-16 season there was a lot of uncertainty about whether or not Dylan Larkin would even make
the Red Wings’ roster. Once he made the team, Larkin picked up 15 goals
and 18 assists (33 points) in his first 48 games, but stumbled down the
stretch with just eight goals and four assists (12 points) in his final
32 contests. Look for him to build on a strong rookie campaign and put
together a full season.

So, where would be the ideal place to draft Dylan Larkin going this season, in the perfect draft? Well, there are several factors to consider.

First off, it depends on the type of pool you’re in. If you’re in a basic hockey pool that goes by just points, then he might be high on your list, especially if you don’t have restrictions based on positions. If it’s one that also includes stuff like plus/minus, penalty minutes, and all that extra stuff, he may suffer a little bit on the rankings.

Larkin could definitely see his production take a step up, like what Brock and the Daily Faceoff have projected, or he could struggle a little bit in his new role as the first line center, and his production would stay about the same, or possibly drop a little bit. Both are plausible opportunities in what’s bound to be an interesting season for in Hockeytown.
