Larkin leaves game in Anaheim with upper-body injury

Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin exited in the second period of his team’s game against the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday after suffering an upper-body injury.

After taking two very short shifts early in the second period, Larkin left the bench and the Red Wings subsequently published the news his injury to Twitter:

Larkin, 23, leads the Red Wings with 16 goals and 32 points in 31 games this season. He did not register a point in Sunday’s game before his departure.

The Red Wings and Ducks are currently tied 3–3 in the third period. Filip Hronek, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Jordan Oesterle have the goals for Detroit.
