Red Wings forward Wade Megan has been placed on waivers today, per CapFriendly on twitter.

This does not necessarily mean that the 28-year-old forward will be sent down to the AHL and report to the Griffins, but that can be a possibility.
He has played a total of eleven games for the Wings this season, after earning an early season call-up to be a consistent bottom-six forward in the NHL. In those eleven games, Megan has been averaging less than eight minutes a game – most commonly on the fourth line with Christoffer Ehn and Martin Frk.
This move could be just to be able to send him down at a later date or some extremely detailed formality that most fans have no idea why it must happen.
