Alexey Marchenko re-signs with Red Wings for two years, $1.45 million AAV

Less than an hour after the Darren Helm signing was made official, the Red Wings went out and signed another one of their own players.

This one was much more of a sensible move, and though it wasn’t a long-term deal, it’s an acceptable bridge contract for a pretty solid player.

Per corsica.hockey, Marchenko last season put up a 51.02 CF% at 5v5, while picking up 11 points at all strengths.

Marchenko spent much of the season on the second and third pairing this year.
