I just ventured on to the Flames Nation web site for the first time and I was surprised at the vitriol being spewed regarding the Oilers.

I can certainly understand looking at issues from slightly different perspectives and I can appreciate taking the odd pot shot at a rival but the comments were certainly toxic.

The posters appear to be fixated on the Flames having to be better than the Oilers. That, combined with the super critical types of comments being exchanged between the posters, generally made for a less than enjoyable read.

    • The GREAT Walter White

Every team that has ever played in the NHL is better than the present day Oilers; there has never been a team with a worse record over a decade than your Oilers…..EVER…..

It’s really just WW and a couple others (the ones who constantly troll OilersNation). Sometimes it gets tiresome. I come on here to read about my team and have good conversations about them. I hope you don’t think we’re all bad 🙂

Some probably are it’s just annoying when the Calgary fans come on oilersnation and troll all the time. I’m sure it’s minorities for both. Funny ww said we are worse with mcdavid when you guys missed the playoffs a year after making them with Johnny hockey having an amazing year

        • #97Train/McDavidCopperfield

Johnny Gaudreau is a great player . Are we gonna say he sucks because he only got 20 points on the road this year. I think not but this is the kind of logic that Ww brings to this chat!
