The 6-foot-4, 221 lbs. left winger signed a one-year deal with the Red Wings this past summer after spending one year in Montreal. He has only appeared in one game with the Red Wings, but ranks second in Grand Rapids Griffins scoring with 49 points (24G / 25A) in 60 games.
According to our friends at NHLNumbers.com, Tangradi will be paid $600K ($300K in AHL) in 2016-17 and $650K ($300K in AHL) in 2017-18, for an annual cap-hit of $625K.

The former second round pick (42nd overall in 2007) has plenty of size, which the Red Wings lack, but has registered just five goals and 10 assists (15 points) in 144 career NHL games between the Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, Montreal Canadiens and Red Wings.
Here’s what Tangradi has to say about the extension:
Extremely grateful to be spending 2 more years w the Red Wings organization! Still have unfinished business this year to take care of in GR!
