There’s a different feeling about these Red Wings right now. A week ago we were dismantled by the Blackhawks twice, but now we’ve won two in a row in come-from-behind fashion. Thankfully the Florida Panthers were able to get past our new rival in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, it was in a shootout so they still got a point, but we got two. so…

Winning against the Winnipeg Jets is a step in the right direction, but if this team has any shot at doing damage in late Aprill, they need to get some wins against top teams back under their belt. Today's game against the New York Rangers worked out to be a bit of a litmus test, their strong effort was not left unrewarded, as Darren Helm's overtime deflection led to a 3-2 victory.

The Red Wings are coming off of a huge win against the Jets on Thursday, scoring three unanswered goals to steal it from Winnipeg. It was a great character win for a Red Wings team that entered Thursday on a three-game losing streak. While Thursday’s win was huge, the Red Wings didn’t get any help last night. The Penguins beat the Blue Jackets and the Flyers soared past the Lightning. The end result? The Red Wings come in clinging to the second Wild Card spot in the East with a tough matchup ahead of them this afternoon. A bit of positive news, is that the Flyers are on a back-to-back, so hopefully that hinders them tonight in Florida.

It's been a weird couple of weeks in between the pipes for the Detroit Red Wings. The tables have supposedly flipped, with Jimmy Howard finding his game at the same time as Petr Mrazek has lost it. Many are concerned with what's going on, and it's not hard to blame them, but the swap of form might be a long-term positive for the team.
